Cats were in love after seeing each other through window, which began new relationships. Their owners make sure they get a date.

On Monday, a Twitter user that goes by “Mac”, posted an adorable picture of her cat looking through the window at another cat in the neighboring building. “My cat Simon is in LOVE with my neighbor’s cat and waits all day for him. Will keep y’all updated”, Mac posted.

Simon is an adorable cat with a mom who loves him more than anything in the world. One day, Mackenzie Coffman – Simon’s mom noticed her cat staring out the window longingly. She decided to take matters into her own hands and made a sign on a paper sheet that read “What is your cat’s name? Love, Simon” and hung it on her window.

Soon after that, Coffman’s neighbor wrote a heartwarming message back. It said:

‘Hi Simon, I’m Theo. Your my best friend.’

As the day went by, Simon continued staring out the window towards the neighbor cat. The neighbor cat didn’t seem to notice Simon, so Coffman decided to take matters into her own hands.

Coffman loved this note, and she decided to post about Simon and Theo’s burgeoning friendship on her Twitter page. The tweet quickly went viral—everyone loved seeing Simon and Theo interact.

Soon enough, Mackenzie’s Twitter thread exploded and amassed thousands of likes and retweets. Simon made sure that his neighbor was aware of this by putting up another message on the window

Coffman started a new Twitter thread where she posted updates about the date. Theo and his mom went to Coffman’s apartment, which didn’t end up working out; Theo was about being nervous in a new environment.

“Update: Simon is following Theo around like a puppy, Theo is a little nervous as cats can be in a new environment,” Coffman wrote on Twitter.

Coffman decided to bring Simon over to Theo’s apartment, and this ended up working out much better! Theo and Simon were both much more relaxed, and the two quickly hit it off.

Simon seemed anxious to finally meet Theo face to face. “1 hour! Waiting by the front door,” he tweeted eagerly. Twitter was holding its breath. And finally – the moment that all Twitter folks had been waiting for, came.

Coffman and Theo’s mom plan to arrange more playdates in the future—it’s clear that these two cats love each other! If you want to see more photos of Simon and Theo, check out their Twitter pages.
